86.7 Percent of SMPN 290 Marunda Students Have Been Vaccinated

North Jakarta Health Sub-agency and relevant agencies intensify COVID-19 vaccination services for residents aged 12-17 years, one of which is carried out at SMPN 290, Jalan Rusun RT 02/07, Marunda Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district. In this location, around 1,000 students or about 86.7 percent of total students have been vaccinated.

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission E Member, Oman Rohman Rakinda appreciated collaborative work between schools, North Jakarta Regional 2 Education Sub-agency and North Jakarta Health Sub-agency in accelerating vaccination program for students.

"Jakarta needs big collaboration and schools are one of effective clusters in accelerating vaccination because vaccines, venues, and participants are already there, just call and they will come," he expressed, Thursday (8/12).

North Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Yudi Dimyati said, mobile school vaccination is carried out to facilitate students, teachers, and school support staffs to get vaccination at schools.

"From total quota 120 people, until this noon, 45 participants have been vaccinated where 2 of them have the second dose," she added.

Meanwhile, one of participants in grade 8th, Radyt Firmansyah admitted that he came to school accompanied by his parents to get second dose vaccination.

"I have been injected with first dose on July 15 in here. Hopefully, after all students have been vaccinated, face-to-face learning can be carried out again since we have been doing distance learning for too long," he said.
